Dr. Who Season 2: Meta'ish
Sorry for 2 non-fic update posts in a row, but it is fandom related.

I'm just finishing Dr. Who Season 2 via Netflix. I notice that Disc 6 is bonus features, which I normally bypass and collect all the bonus feature discs once I'm done with the actual show and watch the special goodies all at once.

My question is there's something I notice on the bonus features disc entitled "Doctor Who Confidential", it indicates it's a nine-part featurette. Is this something I need to watch canonly? Or to move to the next season? Or can I bypass this featurette like I normally do and watch it later with the other bonus features?

Thanks to anyone who can give me a heads up!

When Dr Who is being broadcast in the UK, the Confidential is broadcast at the same time, all be it on a different channel (Dr Who on BBC1 the Confidential on freeview BBC3). You can do either I think, I tend not to watch the Confidential as I watch Dr Who with David, and that is just too much TV watching when I have a visitor!

You absolutely do not need to watch the Confidentials to know what's going on. It's a "making-of" special that airs right after Doctor Who in the UK (although on a different channel)--so they match up with the episodes, and often talk about the stuff in a specific episode, but you can totally watch later.

I don't watch them at all (I hate commentary, interviews, etc--the only bonus material I ever watch is the deleted scenes on DVDs) and have never missed anything important (and DW is one of my fandoms, so I would notice if I missed stuff).

Thank you! I couldn't remember seeing anything like that mentioned on Season 1 bonus features DVD so that's what made me question. I'm not in a commentary mood, so I'll save it for later with the other seasons.
